Valve clearance spec/ universal o2 sensor

Hi there,
Hope everyone is doing well.
1. I was wondering if any knows the right clearance spec for valve adjustment. I couldn't find it in my Bentley. I don't know if I should buy the .004 inch or the .006 inch feel gauge blade. I have a 1987 Porsche 911 carrerra.
2. Also, I am installing a 3 wire universal oxygen sensor. I need to splice the wires. There are 3 wires; one black and 2 white. How do I know which white goes with which white wire or does it matter?
3. The oxygen sensor is really tight. Any idea how to loosen it. I tried soaking it with WD 40 with no success. Should I heat it up with a torch first?
Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

to get the old one out I'd use heat but not anything like BP Baster for fear of a chemical reaction (but you are replacing it...) on the valves I'd do a search on the term "back side" as well as the other terms related to "valve adjustment". some of the best experts have long since gone to bed but will be up early and chime in. good luck

the white wires on the O2 sensors are for the heater for the O2 sensor so i doesn't matter, The tightness may be a tricky one. with all that heat over the years I doubt wd40 would work .
maybe just brute force ?

WD-40 won't help you break the O2 sensor loose. Try soaking the base (the threaded part) in PB Blaster for several days prior to removing it. Spray a little on the threads each day for a few days. It'll come loose. I wouldn't use brute force because you might break off the sensor or bugger the threads.
As to the wires, the advice above is correct. Just connect white-to-white and black-to-black. It doesn't matter which white wire from the harness goes to which white wire on the sensor. When I installed my universal sensor, I used a small piece of heat shrink tubing on each individual wire, and then a larger piece over all three wires.
Good luck!

I had smilar issue with my 02 sensors on my audi with 250,000km on it . i just eventually gave up and heaved as nothing seamed to work , all those years of heat cycling. like most things as soon as it cracked I could take it out with my fingers.
go figure.
