when the sun comes up go out and see if that green box was made by Channell Comercial Corporation.

And the you tube sounds unreal. Even I would give up stock to sound like that. Is that SSI into an M&K? sounds a little metalic but very deep too. Does the car see the street and what are you going to do about the cat if you come to SoCal? You gotta teach the rest of us how to post on you tube.

Ahh, I'll see what the box says.

They are B&B headers (w/heat) into a Flowmaster 2 in/2 out. I've never gotten positive feedback on any dyno numbers for the M&K, so I'm sticking with what I know for power. The metallic sound is the headers, the cams seem to accent that pitch. I like it. It's always sounded pretty awesome, most people that hear it for the first time comment on it.

The car is definitely a street car too. I've maybe got a remedy on the cat issue, if it doesn't work out like I want, I'll just resign myself to the fact I'll have to change my exhaust every 2 years.

I have a nice cat bypass, new bolts and gaskets I picked up from www.dearlydeparted911.com for $50.00 in the shed and ready to go. I have a year left tell I test again, but I don't know about putting it on. I got the tool for the O2 sensor last week too. Not sure I want to disturb 20 years of rust without being ready to replace every last part of the exhaust. It's the fear of the unknown talking again....

Doug: Go to your buddy's big garage, and use his torch. Get the nut red hot. Immediately put some pressure on to tighten it for just a fraction of an inch, then reverse the pressure to remove the nut. You'll find that the nuts should come off easily that way.

I've seen too many people mess around with PB Blaster, or whatever, and get frustrated and cut bolts off. Heat is your friend.

while under there last week I could see that to cat has been off the car recently. It looks like newer nuts, bolts and washers but I could just see something going wrong. Understand too, that I have Peter Z. on one sholder and Ed H. on the other sholder both sending me different messages. the voices in my head, well, they like what Ed is saying, but Peter keeps reminding me that stock is why I bought her in the first place. can you see that it's Peter, Ed, Ed, Peter and I am confused. HELP ME

Well stock is what you bought, and I view a project such as this as totally reversible. And hey, I'm not the one who bought you a bypass and gaskets. That's all I have to say about that.

Can I send over my motor??
Great job and photos..
Son says it looks like a plastic model, I agree.
Keep on stand and don't let it get dusty, not under glass, then we couldn't touch it!!

Thanks Fred...but I'm in retirement for now. Actually, it does need to be wiped off, but it looks and runs great.

I did bugger something up in the sealing of the cam tower to the head on the driver's side. I'm pretty sure It'll bug me enough knowing a leak is there to drop the engine and fix it. Oh well, other than the new wheels I've got coming, no projects planned, so I guess I do need something ro do.

It was 2 years ago when she breathed life again after being in bed for 9 months.
