Thanks Keith. I'm pretty sure the O2 sensor is harmless too. I've got some high temp hose I got from Aircraft Spruce & Hardware that I use for the heat duct. I just didn't have my muffler and crossover tube in as I wanted to keep as much junk off of the engine for the first start so I could look for leaks.

Plus, since my neighbors haven't heard her in 9 months, I thought I'd treat 'em to straight headers for a minute or two...

Ed, she's a beaut!

I took off my muffler today and ran the car. I also have a gutted cat. My dog was trying to claw its way into the house to get away from the noise! At least I waited 'til noon.

That is too funny......I fired her up yesterday, at least 1/2 of her (3 injectors aren't fueling) with the straight headers, and my wife told me our dog made a beeline for the closet.

I was pretty pumped that she started, and does no appear to have any leaks. I was bummed that she wasn't on full song. I touched all of the header tubes, and only 3 were hot from combustion. We checked spark, and that seemed good, and then I double-checked timing and firing order, and even moved the rotor 180 degrees to see what I had. I finally pulled the #2 plug, one of the dead cylinders, and there was no fuel whatsoever.

I had my injectors rebuilt back in July, but it seems that even newly rebuilt injectors that sit for any period of time can stick. So, I'll remain optmistic that this is my problem. I'll pull them tomorrow for testing.

I'm sending my injectors out for testing tomorrow too, and my WUR to be rebuilt (thank god you don't have one of those). All year, I've been secretly trying to get my car to run right before you finished your rebuilt, but I'm no further in solving my issues.

Let's hope your's is minor and you're back on the track soon.

I'm going to apply some voltage to them tomorrow, and tap them to see if they can free up. I'm reasonably sure this will be solved easily. It's just the final lesson in my 911 engine graduate school studies.

PS- Good luck on yours...

She runs! I got the injectors working. I put the muffler back on today, and she's ready to drive, but we've got rain today and tomorrow. So, it may not be until Thursday that I get here out...

Congrats Ed. Now when Glen brings Patrick back, you'll have a steed once again!

BTW, care to share your plans/design for your ramps around your lift? I'm on the verge of buying a similar lift and know I will need something like what I saw in your pictures to get my car up enough to clear the lift.

I hear you, Toby! I need to talk to Glen and see what's in store. I'm going to get a Rennshift in before she goes back on track.

The ramps are just two 2 X 12's. I lag-bolted the top one to the bottom one. I cut the top one a bit shorter, and cut the ends at a bevel to create a sort of ramp to get the car up. I then have four blocks fastened to the inside of the planks. I use 2 X 4 spreaders to keep the width. I just drop bolts down thru them into the 4 blocks to hold them in place. I've got a second set of longer 2 X 4 spreaders to get the width right for my 928. The ramps can be pulled away from the car when it's up, if needed for more access.

I can take more pics next time I'm out there, if you'd like

this is why they won't let me have speakers at work.

Ed, you should look at San Marcos just off the 78 and the 15...
