Default 964 Excellence values?

Local dealership just took in a 92 or 93 964 in trade. Interesting medium blue metallic color of some sort. I am sorta interested and have been looking for a clean later-model 964. My experience is that lately Porsche dealers look to move air cooled cars quickly, just hoping to get better than auction for them. They currently have a sweet 46k SC that will probably go for less than $15,000. I just want something a little younger.

If someone has a few minutes (and the issue of Excellence that I cannot find) could you post Bruce Anderson's most recent 964 values? I know they are just one opinion but I have always found them to be a good starting point.

Don't know if you've seen the 964 Prices thread in the 964 forum, but if you start at the end and work back you'll see some interesting current prices.

Tell us more about the car and we can give you a pretty good ballpark.

Coupe, cab, or targa?
Interior and exterior color?
Option codes?
Manual or auto?
C2 or C4?
Miles?
Service history?
Condition?
Problems, leaks, "you just have to wiggle it a little..."

Like Chris says, we need more info on the car to be helpful. I'll post the C2 & C4 coupe prices and could post more if you get more specific.

1992 C2 Coupe:
$17,213 to $26,200

1993 C2 Coupe:
$18,133 to $27,600

1992 C4 Coupe:
$21,093 to $28,238

1993 C4 Coupe:
22,130 to $29,625

93 C2 coupe with 106k. Some sort of blue metallic. Looking at it more carefully today.

Jay that was exactly what I was looking for.

As for that 964 Prices thread - hard to see how a spreadsheet of random prices over a 10+ year period, many converted from Canadian, UK, and other currencies, can match the effort Anderson puts in to updating his numbers each year. Some folks just don't want to see their precious cars depreciate. I own a 968 and have learned to live with it. When it is all said and done, a Porsche is worth as much as the seller and buyer agree on. No more, no less.

The 964 is the best Porsche deal in the market today...IMHO...a lot of sweet cars for low 20s...

Send me the info on the SC. Any truly good SC with only 46k miles for under 15k is a true bargain.

You should buy it and flip for a quick 3k.

Leith Porsche in Cary, NC.

The 15k number is a guess of where they will probably let the car go. They are officially asking 19.9k

I missed on the 964. Baltic Blue Metallic, 18" RUF wheels, Euro ride height, clear corners, great condition.

The dealership's service manager bought it.

Not sure where that came from or why it was necessary.

I know exactly what the dealership paid for the SC I described and what they have in it in recon. I know the salesman and the dealership. I had preliminary discussions on price and am fairly certain what I could get the car for. Of course I cannot guarantee that price negotiation outcome for someone else - or what may happen in terms of other offers they get on the car - and so I made a clarification.

If this SC is in very nice condition with a documented 46k on the clock, $15k is an absolute steal. Like nkgosselin stated above, you could buy this and flip it for $19k in a hurry...
