Are you serious? You're asking if it is safe to take your car in the rain??? Yes, you car was designed with rain in mind. It's a car, not a papier-machier hat!

Enjoy it in the rain, just make sure you have plenty of tread left and some good wipers.

I wouldn't trust a car wash. I don't trust my wife, kids, or even myself to get the top wet. She gets a blanket over the top and back window when I put her away and a nice fuzzy cover over all of her if she is bug free when the weekend is over. I still haven't even touched the plastic window with my fingers, and you want to let some industrial dishwasher rip up your pride and joy with that big egg beater brush thing. You were kidding.

Rain is one thing, but I would NEVER run my baby through a car wash, and she's a coupe...that's just me.

Getting wet is not big deal. Depending on the car wash you could have some issues. A cab is probably safer than a coupe or targa. Both have rear window vents where water will get into the roof in the touchless car washes. Otherwise, it is like an other car that is close to the ground.

never car wash your car ... even the touchless car washes have severe chemicals that can strip your wax right off.

Ditto !

But in my area I may be forced to use a car wash because of water restrictions

Even though I have a garage queen, she's already had her only bath this year...I'd wait until they lift restrictions.

My 84 Cab will leak if you direct the hose at certain spots, so I would imagine it would be worse on an automated wash. I keep 2 towels with me for rain also, comes in at the top of the door's corner window / soft top seal on mine, both sides, that's about it for leaks in the rain for me.

I'd never take mine thru an Automatoice car wash for all the reasons above plus...

The 911 might be outside of the track specs and and brush heights etc..

It i one of the smallest cars you'll see these days. ( ever park next to a Boxster?).

I'm a little paranoid because I sat in my ,95 Impala SS as a mirror was nearly torn off.

I'd hate to be the next guy though with 3 fee of sheared off car aerial spinning around in those brushes
