It has changed hands a couple of times after Der Mond. Der bought it from flat-6 performance (username here). From his post he sold it to a friend in 07. Wish I could get ahold of that owner, he had it from 07-15 and did some great upgrades (3.4). Would love to get some of those details and maybe some photos of his ownership.

Love researching the history of my incoming car, such a great story. Super excited to join the air cooled group. I have a 981 and if this one is everything I think it is, I will be keeping it for a very long time.

Here she is last night on her way to TX.

well I would try sending him a PM or even visit his page, maybe he has an email in there. I don't think he has visited this site in years.

No I am getting it from LA, going to be a long few days wait to get to TX!

Already have a list of projects that I want to do and parts are arriving before the car.

OK. I remember a Venetian Bleu at an autocross in San Diego. I am 30 miles east of LA and have not seen another Venetian Bleu in ten years.

Might have been the PO. He lives in Buena Park. 10 years is a long time to have not seen another Venetian Bleu. I haven't seen the color in person. I have another blue PCAR, and it was a must to have this one blue as well. Took awhile to find her but she appears to be in great shape still, with service records. Needless to say I am very excited to get her next week. Christmas is coming early this year!

Agreed. Just little stuff for now (Books, LED accessory light kit, grill badge, extra fuses, relays, etc..)

Just reading up as much as I can before I get it.

I will be dropping it shortly after I get it for paint correction, detail, redo the Fuchs and XPEL put on to protect the front end.
