Changed my oil tonight
So I go to Walter's Porsche today to buy a couple of the good German oil filters only to get them home and find "made in U.S.A." printed on them. To make things worse, I get the Yin and Yang, Hans and Frans, Topsy Tervy ones. I can't tell what's right anymore.
Is it just me, or did someone have a little too much coke with their soda?

You can buy the German Mahle filters at www.pelicanparts.com
I also like how the Mahle filter for my 911 says "For Porsche and Lamborghini."

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my humor.
Old Man, I am the proud owner of more than 80 palm trees and can't rally snap a shot at the house without gettin' them in the picture.
I should have listend to everyone about the size of the pan to put under the car. when he opened the resevour I was sure I was gonna have a mess. I got about ten drops on the floor and that was it. all in all it cost me less than $60.00 to do it myself.

Douglas,
Sorry to hijack this thread a little, but did you jack your 911 up to change the oil?
I found that if I use a highly modified kitty-litter container to catch the oil from the pan (and a big ol' drain pan to catch the oil from the sump) I can change the oil with all 4 wheels on the ground. It seemed like just jacking up the rear wouldn't let as much oil drain out because of the angle that car would be sitting at....and it's kind of a pain to put the whole car on jackstands to keep it level....
I'm not sure what the more common method is....

To house my new toy I built a two story shed that is something like 12 x 20 and the extra cut offs from the second floor 2x8's are my ramps. I get that extra 3 1/2 inches I need for this with 2 under each wheel or could go to three 2x8's and, well, you get the picture. My nine year old want the second floor for her bedroom....
