Burning Brakes
Add up his repair receipts for the last 5 yrs, then add $7500 and consider anything less.
I paid about $2k over receipts... and considered it the deal of a lifetime...

If there is abosolutley nothing that you have to do to it to get it right, thats a fair price, with that few of miles. If you have to put any money into anything, paint, interior, chain tensioners, pop off valve, then you are paying too much. It seems like people that get a good deal, still usually end up spending a total of between $15,000 and $16,000 gettting the car right.

right hand mirror can be added- get a stock mirror (can usually find used) and buy the proper mounting bracket- that's what I did with my '78- had a body shop paint to match and install properly with the bracket in the door- essentially the stock setup from the factory.
I had a euro so those usually didn't have as many amenities in them- my car was the same (aftermarket/non factory A/C, vinyl seats with pinstripe cloth inserts, no center consol and aforementioned lack of passenger side mirror). Agree with others- if the car needs no major work, an original car with that low of miles is worth extra $. Just make sure the miles are verifiable- many people change out the speedometers in these things (I always notice 911s on ebay with the wrong speedometer, but the seller representing the miles as original...things like a 78 911 with the later 160 mph speedometer as an example...)
