Question 1977 Porsche 911 coupe

Does anyone know:
1. Where I can find a body kit?

2. Aftermarket A/C and heater that WORK

3. The largest wheels I can fit

4. your recomendations for exhaust

5. The first thing you'd do to improve performance

Thanks!

1. No

2. If you want AC pre 90s 911 are not the place to look for them.

3. Probably not much larger than stock.

4. Not sure.

5. Buy a newer 911.

Sorry for being a jack ***, couldnt resist. Hopefully someone who actually knows a thing or two about 70s 911s will post something. Are you trying to just beef up a lightweight 70s 911 for racing? Did you already buy the 77 coupe? If so post a picture!

Hi mate

1. getty make great stuff http://www.gettydesign.com or you should be able to find something on pelican. personal perfernce but i'd leave it stock, except for maybe a ducktail

2. do you really want to spend $3k on A/C ???

3. depends on offsets but Fuch 16" will do nicely

4. monty or M&K, preferrably 2 inlet with SSI headers

5. remove weight (i.e A/C!), exhaust, and a good service, tune, & wheel alignment (ensure your suspension is fit i.e that the rubber bushings are not perished). If you are going to do some DE or track work, do a few events and learn the car before forking out big $$$

Oshin, I'm the jack ***, remember....

1. read the "better bodies- is this a joke"

2. a/c on a '77? most of us have given up on air in our '80's+ cars and you want air in a '77? I hear rumors that such thing exist, and some say area 51 exists.

3. I was reading about a 16x15 on an RS. unreal hookup. not at all useful. Click on "General" and then "Wheels/Tires" or try "Perf & Comp"

4. ah screw it... try www.automotion.com then send it to Steve Weiner to tune it up.

My A/C was new in 03 and worked great unti it sat through the winter. Now I may yank it. Are you going to be anywhere near Nashville?

1. What JV said and try http://www.americaninternationalracing.com/

2. No idea on the A/C but I was thinking the system that was in one of my Hondas may find it's way into my 76 911.

3. I have 7.5 X 17 front and 9 X 17 rear on my 76.

4. JV is right on the money with his sugestion.

5. For me, Exhaust that JV sugested and a set of PMO Carbs.

Good luck.

P.S. My 76 has SC rear flares. In relation to No. 3.

in some cars the heat is always on. In mine that was the first big issue. I ended up looking under the car, in the trunk, under the dash, between the seets. I ended up with a pair of $1.50 springs from Home Depot to replace my 20 year old flapper box springs.
