Beautiful car! RSAs are some of my favorite 911s. Yeah it may not be quite a "real" RS but the deletion of the power steering brings a whole new level of feel to the 964 chassis, makes it much more fun to drive. Plus the cloth sports seats are great. Good find and have fun!

Very nice. The paint looks brand new, and I've never seen a black RS America.

What did you pay for it?

Amazing! When new the RS America's base price was $10K less than its C2 coupe brother, and "carsthatmatter.com" now has it pegged (as a condition #2) at being worth about $6K more than the C2! What a deal then, and probably still a deal today - beautiful car!

Pete,
I looked it up, also.

I use the hardcopy edition. I show a 1993 RSA as $6000 more (#2) but show a 1994 RSA (#2) as about the same value as the C2 coupe. Why is that? I can't remember the difference in the 1993/1994. Anyone?

That is a beautiful car. I never kept my black cars clean enough, but always envy them.

Whooo Haa! VERRRRYYYY NICE!!!

Did those 964's have the Dual Mass Flywheel, and the odd Dizzy for dual plug heads? If so, just a couple of things to check up on... IIRC, the Distributor Belt failure could get 'Spensive???

Very nice! Loved my RSA. 701 total produced. I believe the difference between 93 and 94 was that some of the 94's had a back seat. For all the information you could ever imagine check out Keith's site www.rsamerica.net.

Thanks for the compliments. I am going to be hillclimbing the car in the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association. One of the hillclimb events that I am really looking forward to is the Giant's Despair Hillclimb in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is one of the oldest hillclimb sites in the Nation. Both Carol Shelby and Roger Penske have hillclimb raced there. Check out the website.

1986951,

If you are accelarating hard and there is a squeek from a belt, is this the noise you are referring to?

How can you tell if the distributor belt has failed?
