Question Need help identifiying this 911 spoiler...expert eyes please

Went past my local p-car shop and started chatting with the owner. He has this laying around and for the life of him he cant remember what year 911 it fits. He guessed around 1970.

Figured I'd ask the experts.

That is a 1976-7 tail. 3.0 litre non-intercooler 930. By 1978 when the intercoolers were added the turbos went to what better was described as the turbo tail. The secondary vent in the center of the top is a direct air source to a plastic assembly which rams air directly toward the alternator/fan. These are excellent tails, but being fiberglass, many times have to be custom fitted to your car (cut down in places along the edges).

Dan is right, going by the secondary intake vent, but this unit looks aftermarket, not o.e. There is no hole for the rear wiper arm mount, and the grilles don't look factory... Also, the "letter" holes are drilled for "P-O-R-S-C-H-E", not "turbo Carrera"

I agree aftermarket turbo carrera tail IIRC made by AIR. I had one of these on my first 79 SC. The big giveaway is the grill used on the second intake is smaller than the factory opening and the type of grill used. These normally came with the second opening sealed.
