Spark plugs (again!!!)
Hello,
Well I've done a search for what type of spark plug to use and I found 16 results but none applicable to my 76.
So, here goes, what plug do you guys recommend for a 1976 911S 2.7 CIS??
Now, it was a CA car but it has had the EGR and Air injection removed, also no A/C, and it a 915 5 speed manual. Oh, and it's blue........
Plug and gap??
Thanks all.
Frank

Thanks very much Pete,
By the way, after your input she now idles at 900rpm and starts off the key with no pedal involved.
Just a bit closer now...............
Cheers,
Frank

I just pulled the plugs on my 76 911s without the smog stuff and found Bosch RO 185 plugs? that's the number on the side of the plugs? I can't find these Bosch plugs anywhere? I tried to find these at 2 parts stores and they could not cross reference the numbers with anything? the car was a 6000ft altitude Colorado car till a few weeks ago. should I try the same plug that pete is suggesting? or try to find these Bosch RO 185 plugs
sorry not trying to hijack the thread.
as a side note, what's the difference between standard, platinum and platinum plus etc. do they make a difference?

Not a problem mkgtn,
Not a highjack cause it’s relevant to the thread.
I see that you’re a 76 s owner as well. The general suggested (in jest) that we start up our own club.
So far it’s the General, JV, you and me.
Hey Doug,
I'd like to see some proof that this actually makes a noticeable difference. Like a before and after dyno result. That's a lot of trouble to go to. And imagine trying to get them out when you next changed the plugs. They'd be falling off and getting stuck in the fins all over the place.

I think Steve is the guy to ask on this one...his cars have twice as many plugs as mine. In the Hemi we didn't do it any other way, so I don't have a before and after or with and without....
Steve, what do you think?
