Post California Canyon Carving

Here's a Quicktime video clip I edited together of a piece of Decker Canyon -- the kind of road made with Porsches in mind.

<a href="http://members.rennlist.com/jackolsen/Decker2Minutes.mov" target="_blank">Here it is.</a>

It's 11 megs. So if you're dialing in, there'll be a wait.

You might be able to charge admission for trips on that road!

What kind of camera and mount did you use for the outside road camera? Very impressive.

Jack, thank you for the video. I haven't been on Decker Canyon Road for a couple of years. I have even driven that way from LAX to Westlake Village just to have the pleasure of the drive and the view!

Thanks. It's a little lipstick-type camera. For the under-the-valence footage, I zip-tied it to the front AC condenser, with some flexible plastic in front of it to fend off road debris. Oddly, my fancy digital camera's "image stabilization" produces the shakiest footage in the world with the particular vibrations of my car. Running in a line from the inexpensive lipstick camera makes for much better footage -- and I'm not shaking the expensive camera to death.

Oooops, too excited!
Anyway, I have a camera setup from <a href="http://www.helmetcamera.com/" target="_blank">helmetcamera.com</a> that I'm planning on mounting on the front end next autocross....gonna call it the "cone cam"
because I have a tendancy to eat cones. Real sweet vidoes, man!
