Pristine Motors,
I have had personal dealing with this company. Some years ago they sold an old Ford collectable I owned, for me. I'm still waiting for my money, and everytime I have asked for it, it just gets ugly. I for one, cannot feel the love for this crook!

Andial is arguably the best (hmmm, they share their parking lot with Porsche Motorsport's North American racing shop), but there are no bargains there. Very good but expect a %20 "Andial tax".
Factory Werks - Only took something there once. Price was very reasonable. Down side was it took 5 1/2 weeks to get my transmission back from them. Second downer was the transmission got stuck in neutral 3k miles later because of a piece of debris floating around inside of the trans. Not sure if the debris was their fault but after a 241 mile tow I decided I would fix it myself.
Currently I do my own work but when I am lazy or it gets beyond me I am going to Scott's Independent in Anaheim. He has been very reasonable and done some nice short turn around work. Plus he has never given me any information that is inaccurate. I especially like the fact that he has told me "I don't know" on a couple of odd questions that I have asked. I have also gone in twice and had him look under the lid and notice a ground wire that was loose and an O2 sensor that was loose. Neither time did he charge me. They don't seem to be a "hotrod" shop. They are a maintenance shop.
Their number is (714) 634-2027. They are near Angels stadium off of State College.

Pristine Motorsports in Huntington Beach
Should be your first choice. They know 964's and all the factory updates/changes that went on with them.... ask the blonde girl behind the front desk some 964 tech questions..... she'll surprise the sheet out of you!!
call 'em 714-960-2421

I had used Andial many times over the years on a previous 911. Yes, they can be expensive if you are not very specific about what youwant done. They seem to do a little (or more) preventative maintanence on an optional basis and it shows up on your bill. Not a bad thing, I guess, but I can change out my own light bulbs. If they find a burned out one, they will change it and charge. That, of course, is just a silly example. But don't be surprised if they call you with additional work that they say needs to be done. This was all years ago, but the ownership is still the same. Last time I was there, I had an engine dropped that I was buying out of a car. $200 flat, no questions, and a clean pull, of course.
