Ok, so the right side's all connected again. Amazing what a couple of degrees will do to you on the radius arm.

Rear swaybar bushings came out, at which point it became apparent it was time to do the trans mounts, as it looks pretty tight in there with the bar all completed. Sooooo, out came the trans mounts, and of course, since I had the tools out already, out came the engine mounts as well (one at a time for each). I reversed the engine mount bolts, so the nuts were at the top rather than the bottom. Dunno if there's a reason for having the other way, or a special trick to hold them in place, but was a whole lot easier re-assembling this way.

Driver's side swaybar bushing went in easily, pass side not so much for some reason. Regardless, they're in.

Steve - drop links look ok to my novice eye, so I'll skip those out back.

At this point, I believe everything's been done out back, and I can start up front tomorrow morning before heading to the parents' for a BBQ & swim. Took me longer than I hoped, but will be better to start with a fresh outlook up front I think. I've kept the side skirts off just in case they're in the way up front too.

Before, on the radius arms:

"I can't get the banana arm up high enough to attach the shock without lifting the whole car."

- common problem - put a jack under it

Randy... that was WITH the jack, man. The trailing arm (banana) would lift about, oh, 1.5" with the jack, & then the rest of the CAR would lift up off the jack stands, almost like you've bottomed out on the travel.

Hey Fred,
Good luck with the fronts, and don't worry, you'll be on the road sooner than I.
It's been raining for a week and the temp today is about 52F. Well that's my conversion...it's 11C here.
Take care and keep us up to date.

is it hitting something?
is the motor out?
do you have some sort of mega-stiff torsion bars?
