Default Wrist Pin Keepers

Hi Folks, anyone have any tips/miracle methods for installing this style wrist pin clip? (This is for a 951, but figured they may be common to other makes).

Except for the 'turned out' tip on one end (mine were just a circle) I can only suggest needle nose pliers and your fingers. I have no 'secret' way. Wear SAFETY GLASSES and if you can, drape a towel around the area you are working. Start one side and hold with the pliers as your finger works around the circle to press the ring into place. The towel is to keep the ring from flying out and going across the shop and being lost and also to keep it from dropping into an engine opening! You do NOT want to have to split the case again to chase one of these down. COVER all engine openings! Good luck and ...protect your eyes.

Thanks Mo -- the little tang must be new to Mahle. The pistons that came out of the motor had the tangless versions like the ones you mention. This is for a 944 turbo motor, so at least I can assemble the piston and rods on the bench, far far away from engine openings. I was able to install 3 of 4 pins yesterday -- my finger tips are sore and the openings around the keepers are scratched, but I figure the soreness will go away and that part of the pistons don't touch anything anyway... so onward I go... Thanks again for your response -- helpful to know there is not some obvious solution out there.
