Default SCWDP badge group buy?

To those with SC's, a thread on PP the last couple of days rekindled the SCWDP sticker idea, only making a deck gille badge. Anyone here interested, either check out the thread (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showt...1#post3310551), or let me know. Still early planning...

I found a source for the badges I think. The outfit looks to do quality work, and ALL they do is make these type of automtive badges. I sent a request for more info based on a basic idea I gave them. I told them it would be an oval grilled attached badge, that would have an outside border. The inside would have the "SCWDP" logo in polished metal, filled in with red or black. The outside border would have the following text: "PORSCHE 911 SUPER CARRERA WORLD DOMINATION PLOT - 2007". This would also be polished metal and filled with the red or black to contrast the inner fill color. Does this make sense to any of you. Is there a graphics guy that can give us an actual visual. The other ting I need to know is the physical size we want. The max is 3". The making of the badges takes 4-6 weeks and the cost depends on the number ordered. The minimum would be 40.

Let me know your thoughts SC owners...

I've got a tea tray. Where to mount a badge?
Have you considered window decals like the MID9 Euroval (I won the contest for their club name ).
Or what about a top of windshield full width decal (in the oft tinted area)?

DARISC, I am looking into that as well. Good point about the tails. I have asked the badge maker about using the same design we come up with interior window sticker as well. Not sure if he does that kind of work also, but maybe he knows someone. I am thinking of using the static cling type, so it could be easily removed in case you, cough, bought a Carrera or something

Carrera?

Like the Iti marble that the old Iti sculptors used? Nah - Heavy, way too heavy!

va911 - is Iti still short for Italian, as it was years ago when I visited Melbourne? (sure hope it's not an ethnic slur).

My x-wife (yeah, sounds like an alien - but appropriate usage here) used to get her panties in a bunch and bilfitch about static cling. I like that idea (and also the idea of using for this project).

I'll play arounf with the graphics.

Default ta-da!

OK, here is my weakbutt attempt to show my idea. All I had to work with is paint. Now, someone who knows what they're doing can take it from here please. One question is on color. I just went with the first two that seemed right to me. Any other suggestions are more than welcome.

Looking good!

Personally I'm not one who likes the idea of SC = Super Carrera. I don't believe there is a basis in fact that SC ever actually stood for that (I think that arguement has been bantered about for years with no documentation to back it up).

More importantly, while appreciating the humorous dig at Carrera owners, I rather take the perspective that, "Hell no this ain't no steenking Carrera!, this is genuwiiine SC!"

Just my $.02

I guess it was on Pelican. There were some stickers and shirts that had really cool logos. I thought I saved them on my pc, but I cant find them. I found some on Pelican, but not the ones I was looking for.

I hear you. I originally just had it SC, but like you said, the dig came into play... We just need someone to fly over to Germany and get the official word for us on this matter... once and for all!
