Default WTB - Fuchs Wheels

I am looking for 16" Fuchs, 7" and 9", black centers and polished lips, excellent condition - will pay fair price; Will consider 8" in lieu of 9"'s too.

Will also consider a set of nice replica Fuchs, same sizes as mentioned, still want black centers, prefer polished lips.

I though I would try a post before buying anything new, you never know what wheels people have sitting around the garage......

Post or send a PM if you have wheels or suggestions.

(For whatever reason I could not figure out how to put an ad in the classifieds).

You can always try Jason Cullen over at Pelican or as he has posted:
Call anytime or email your telephone #

Thank you,
Jason

By email I guess he means PM him.

Also, there are replica Fuchs being made that many are very excited about (although they are 17").

Thanks. I have seen pictures and heard some about the 17"'s (they look great) but I have heard that the car would do best with 16" (maintain better ride, etc...).

Yes, the 17"s do look great, but I'm more interested in keeping my '87 as authentic as possible, so I'll be calling Jason eventually to get some 8's or 9's for the rear of my car.

I think I'm going to concentrate on getting the suspension correct before I get new wheels. My 6's and 7's are fine for now.

Spodie: I did not understand about calling Jason. Pelican parts does not advertise any wheels for sale. Is this a member/ customer that also sells wheels?

I have the same thoughts you have and would like to keep the car as stock as possible. My current polished 6" and 7'" x 16" are immaculate, it drives great on these wheels, but I am not big on the polished spokes or the red inserts (currently on my car)...they might look good for show, but not really my favorite. I would love 16" x 7" and 9", w/ black middles and polished lips, butI'll figure it out.

Jason is a Pelican member who has sold Fuchs to many people there and here.
Just give him a call or private message him if you're a member on the Pelican forums (I'd be happy to PM him for you if you are not a member).

He can get you exactly what you want and at a fair price.

Spodie,

I am actually after a set of 17 inch Fuchs wheels.

Does Jason sell these as well?

If so can you please get him to PM me if that's not too much trouble??

There is no such animal. You can go to Lindsay Racing in AR and have 3 piece wheels made from Fuchs centers. This is probably the most common route, although it isn't inexpensive.

Or, you can take a chance on the cast replicas mentioned above that have NO history, although a number of people have plunked down cash. Time will tell on these, but I won't be the first to try them out...

Replicas, at least until now, have not been a safe bet or investment.

If you're going to cut them up I have a set of genuine 14" Fuchs you may want to use as a basis.
