Default Aaack! HELP!

Okay, so I pulled up on the seat back release in the non-power passenger seat of my 85 coupe to move the seat back forward. All was fine until I folded the seat back to the rear of the car. It moved back, the locking mechanism engaged, but now the seat back will not move rearward beyond 80 degrees. In other words, the seat back is actually facing somewhat towards the front of the car. The release works fine to fold it forward again, but it will not fold back beyond the first "detent" position. I've tried the releases on both sides of the seat back, same result.

HELP Please!!!

Is there any way to even temporarily get the seat to a position where someone can sit in it? I wanted to take it on a nice long roadtrip tomorrow.

I know what it was...I did the same thing the other day after detailing my car. I felt like such an idiot once I remembered how to adjust them! I never move 'em and my feeble brain just went into "black out" mode. I really hate getting old!

Yes, Pete, it was indeed the other lever! I was vacuuming the mats and didn't even realize I had used it to begin with. So, the seat is fine and my roadtrip through the Smokies went well...

Please see my other "Sunroof" post. :-(

I did a similar thing. I had the car hand washed and the seat was left all the way back and I couldn't get it to normal after about 30 minutes. I then proceeded to take apart my electrical switches since I thought water had gotten in there. After a few hours, I went back and starting bitching at them that they broke my seat. Imagine the embarrassment when they pulled the other lever!...
