...and der Mond in Alaska seconds what Steve just said...I use Mobil1 15W-50 in my '87 normally aspirated 3.2.

Everything that was said is logical and make sense. I don't pay attention to the oil gauges. I check the oil with the dipstick. Because of the shape of the oil tank and the quantity, there is a lot of room for error on the low side. Just don't overfill it, or you'll be burning more oil than you want to.

kwil666, I am an hour north (in a porsche) of you and everyone here says castrol gtx 20w50. some guys are way too pickey, and most guys know way more than me. then again I have more miles than my car does. enjoy.
