Thank's Steve. Any "tricks" to checking the dif, besides taking it apart?

If you have LSD, get some friction reducer from a GM dealer and put it in the tranny. Cured my chatter (if that's what it is).

I talked to a friend this morning who has a Porsche shop here in San Antonio. Hesaid you probably need an additive to the gear oil for the LSD as Der Mond stated. My friend said without it, there may be a popping sound sound coming from the tranny. Won't hurt to try.

On an '85 I had front wheel bearing go out on one side. It groaned when steering only in that direction.

Rears may react differently but if it happens in both directions, yea I'd look for LSD first since you had recent fluid change.
