Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could suggest a list of parts to always have on hand in your garage for a 1987 Targa.
Thanks-
Rob

I have a 78 so I won't comment too much as some may be different. I find as a rule, parts do little good in the garage, but having a few spare parts in the car can be a life saver.
I already used my spare belt once, and carry fuses, a rag, flashlight, tool kit, black and red relays ( for you i think it would be a DME relay ) .
At home in the garage I have spare plugs, oil filters a fuel pump, another belt, fuel filter, lots of vacuum lines, spare wiper blades. Thi is just to make maintanance easier so I don't have to order it all if I feel like doing some maintanance on the spur of the moment.

Check out this thread about a guy who was taking a long cross country trip. Here are the list of things people recommended that he carry in his car: https://rennlist.com/forums/911-turbo-930-forum/335493-trying-to-avoid-getting-stranded.html

One more thing: get a piece of string about 24" long. You can use it in case your gas release cable breaks. Ask me how I know...
