need help and would like to know what kinf of engine i have....its a...64C2189

You have:
6 = 6 cyl
4 = 911SC (USA)
C = 1982
2189 = consecutive serial number

are u sure? cuz I have a 76..the previous owner must of changed the engine..how much hp does it have? heres a pic....

Be sure, Pete knows his stuff! That info is further supported by the fact that the engine has an eleven blade cooling fan and the steel CIS fuel lines . . . a '76 engine would have a 5 blade fan and braided lines (covered w/ black silicone). BTW you're missing an airbox strap!

yeah but the engine cover is green ... I know it doesn't mean much but typically aren't the 3.0s red? aren't green typical of 2.7 cars ?

ice: Yeah, but overall the install is really sloppy, so who knows why it's got the green shroud? I love the ram air intake!
