Arrow Fordahl Motorsports exhaust?

Anyone here in the Seattle area have a Fordahl exhaust creation on their 3.2? I would really like to hear one on a 3.2 b4 I make a decision.
I heard one on a 996 that was unbeleivable.
Your help appreciated..

Any shop can make an exhaust system similar to what they make with mandrel bent elbows and Flowmaster mufflers. You can get the stuff from Jeg's mailorder for %10 what they'll rip you off for, plus you won't have to put up with their bulls**t attitudes. Just my two cents.

hmmm, okay then. Any other exhaust recomendations? I want this car to sound nasty at high revs. Not just loud, but a nice tone that will get your attention. I heard Fordahls work on that 996. I know it's a different car, but wow, what a sound.

Get a one in/two out Flowmaster three-chamber muffler designed for 80's camaros and some mandrel-bent pipes and have it installed at any reputable hot rod exhaust place. It sounds awesome.

P.S.: you'll have to cut your valance on one side to accomodatte the dual-exhaust.

Off the shelf you can order SSI's and a Monty muffler - spend a few $$$ but it'll last forever and sound great. Call John Walker in Seattle to get it installed. Some say the flowmaster drones at highway speeds.

SSIs with a Monty drone a bit between 1800 to 2900 rpm on load, and are as silent as stock above that, so I don't think Kenny's idea of a Ferrari ripping V12 is gonna work that way. Did you see this thread? There's some sound clips here:

Wow! I checked out those sound clips. I think I like the flowmaster 1/2.

Flowmaster will definitely cost you the least... the SSI's are Heat exchangers designed for the 74 and earlier 911's. Big advantage is that they're tuned to produce more power (true dual output) than what's on the later cars. This is considered an upgrade. Price is $850.00 pair and about 2-4 hrs to install. Mufflers after that anything's possible.
Watch out though, you may have problems since you have to lose the cat (?! correct me if I'm wrong) and change the configuration of the exhaust, which is a NONO in WA emissions law. Just register the car in Puyallup or something to avoid emissions. (Mine's registered in Hoodsport)

And whatever you choose, I'm CERTAIN it'll cost you less even with the SSI's than what Fordhal is charging.

Fordahl is quoting $600-$700 for the flowmaster single/dual installed including triming the valance.

I'll take a fat one in the shorts please....

Thinking I'm gonna search out a body shop to cut the panel, then find an exhasut shop to bolt on the muffler. Haven't done much research around here but thinking possibly any of the Dan Fast muffler shops,(said was possible if I brought the car with the panel cut already) or you can also try Matthewson's Automotive here in Renton. 1st class work! They're domestic drag race guys, but they also do a lot of custom exhaust work. Had a previous Camaro done there. Don't see why they'd object to a 911. At least you can buy the muffler from Honest Performance next door.
There's also a place on Auburn way (Auburn) that does lots of custom work - can't remember the name but rep. as big as the state. Once again, domestic guys.
This is, of course my GHL muff. deal falls out. Have the car at JWW's getting trany freshening and clutch, brakelines, blah blah and he had a line on a lightly used GHL for next to nothing. Wanted to do SSI's but decided to wait until the full rebuild next summer. When that happens then it's the dual exhaust etc. etc.

Relatively new to 911's myself so any other who's who recommendations would be welcome.

I can't comment on the exhaust, but Fordahl did some Koni's and corner balance/alignment for me and I was pretty happy with the service. Definitely race car guys tho...

I guess their quality is 2nd to none. They put on seminars for the local PCA chapter. No dispute there...Another place worth checking is tru - line in Georgetown...Reputed to be excellent as well. They get my car Thursday to take it 1/2"lower to 24" / 24.5. corner balance and all.

Costing me around $600.

Thankfully, this is only a once in a while thing.

Henry Luft at B & H motorsports in Kirkland has built many exhaust systems. The last one I saw was for a 993TT motor into a 911S narrow body. His rates are in touch with reality too. Eurotech bodyworks is right next door, so they could handle the valance if needed. There are single in/out Flowmaster mufflers that wouldn't necessitate any body work, if a person was interested in keeping the stock appearance.
