Default FS: AMAZING 48k mile one owner 1985 911 coupe

I am listing this car for a friend-- I promised him that I would make sure it found a 'proper home' I have driven this car, and it is truly unbelievable. This 911 is a 1985. Original owner. Only 48,000 original documented miles. All service records from day one. Original window sticker, original bill of sale/order sheet. Every oil change, every time this car was touched there is a receipt for it. This 911 is one of a few true survivors. You will feel like you have time-warped back to 1985 when you see it.

Here are a few pictures. Keep in mind that the car has not cleaned or detailed, we just backed it out of the garage and snapped some pics. The 911 has spent most of it's days in the owner's garage with a car cover on it.

A few things worth mentioning:
There is some bolster wear on the driver's seat. It is only the dye, the leather still feels smooth when you rub your hand across the spot. I have a close up picture of this.
The owner ordered this car with no sound system, "carrera" decklid badge delete option, and power pass seat. Right after delivery, the owner had a high end alpine stereo installed with alarm. (have receipt from 1985 from earmark in dallas) Other than that (and tires) the car is all original.

This 911 does not leave even ONE DROP of oil on the floor of the garage it sleeps in!!

Most of the service was done by the well known nine-eleven enterprises here in dallas. Receipts from them date back to 1987. Contact info can be provided for them for an interested party.

If I was going to buy this car for myself, I would have the driver's seat back dyed, put new tires on it (tires have nice tread but they are a few years old), and have it professionally detailed.

The only way you will find a nicer 1985 911 is if it has been in a zip-lock bag for 22 years. This is a ONE OWNER, NEARLY ALL ORIGINAL, FULLY DOCUMENTED 1985 911 with that just turned 48,000 miles!!

The owner welcomes and encourages PPI's and can possibly assist with delivery arrangements.

Offered at $27,600

Title is clear and the original one issued in 1985.

Located in Dallas, TX

I will be adding more pictures and information later. Any questions please contact trwright@gmail.com.

Here are a few pics from back in 1985/1986. . . . and no that is not a Porsche-powered Mooney

What makes this a $27,600. car? Is it the lower than average miles? 2000 miles a year could be a bit of a concern with an air cooled engine.
It is a well documented car, I have to give you that.

I don't understand the price either. I shopped for many months for a 3.2 and finally found one nearly as clean as this one for under $15,000-however it has 164,000 miles on it. Only 2,000 miles a year could really be a problematic car and the cost of repairs would get you more upside down in a hurry. It does however look like a nice car. The seats look too worn for that low a mileage car also. There'sa $1,000 at the get go. Nope!

FYI, I paid $19,500 for my '84 Cab, w/ 50k miles on her at the time (fall '04). I knew the owner also. Had requisite maintenance that needed to be done (brake hoses, fluids, filters, tune, etc.) & some minor mechanicals (antenna, etc.), but was otherwise in decent shape.

Good luck with the sale, nice looking car.

Excelllence placed the value of the "excellent condition" Carrera at about $25K. This ones low mileage and records would increase that by 10%. I imagine that is what is driving the price the owner is asking.

Mine is an '84 with similar miles and condition right down to the records and such. It is Chiffon White with a Cadbury Brown interior. The asking price was more than this one. Mine includes not only a reciept for everything ever done, including brake fluid, if it was a hard part that was replaced it was put in a large rubbermaid container and given to me with the car.
My point is the asking price is justified. This car in this condition is not found every day...

gotta agree w/ Rotten... there's someone out there who wants this car & has $25-30K to spend - buyer & seller just need to find one another - in a thin, spl market, it just takes a little more time & effort.

Ummm, hello, the price is justified on a car with $48,000 miles.
