I use Pat Collins at Northeast Foreign Car in Old Norcross--great guy and knows air cooled Porsches like the back of his hand.

I would strike wendt motorsports from the list of recommended places to go.

See Rennlist Discussion Forums > Air/Oil Cooled Technical Discussion Areas > 993 Forum > Does Short-Shift + C4 = No Change in Shift Throw?
or do a search on "Wendt."

My $0.02... which is about all I have left after being overcharged by Performance Imports by well over $10k.

Thanks Guys- I think I have driven past the place in Norcross before, and am only about a mile from the one in Tucker!

Have a good weekend.......

I've been collecting a list of Atlanta mechanics that are strongly recommended (here and on Pelican), for when I need one (just bought my car). Here are some names that have been mentioned often (those not mentioned in this thread):

Alan at German Car Repair in Roswell
George at Auto Atlanta in Marietta
Ryland Mills at Ryland’s in Marietta

Franz Blam is a master of Porsches. He rebuilt my engine last summer and did lots of extras to go the extra mile- did things that would be transparent/unnoticed to a casual observer to make the car as perfect as possible. He is very honest, knowledgeable and has a passion for our cars!

I have had Rylan work on several of my Pcars. He is the best I have found.

If your in the Alpharetta, Roswell area I can personally recommend Kerry Singley and his shop.
NAPA AUTOCARE CENTER
Premier Service Center (770) 663-3939
224 N Main St Alpharetta GA , 30004

He is a PCA member as well as club racer and he knows 944's as well. I have any work I can't do myself here and I also have tech inspections done for DEs.

He used to own a Porsche only shop in Roswell but later went with a Napa shop. He still does lots of Porsches.
