RPX Engine decarbonizer??

I never heard of RXP but I know in the old days they would pour a little water in the carb and that would do it. I wouldn't think or know how to do it with CSI

I have heard of it, never used it. I stick to techron (the expensive bottle tho) or redline SI-1. Used regularly, there shouldn't be any need for additional decarbonization unless you are running WAY rich or oil getting into the combustion chamber (time for rebuild).

Here locally, there are a few different Chevron Techron products. I was told that the most expensive bottle, even though the same size, has a greater concentration of the Techron additive. This might be an old wives tale though. I actually use Redline's product more often, every 3000 mi on all my cars - I stock it since I use so much of it.

FYI - In Chicago, I buy the big bottle of Techron that treats 20 gallons. It costs about $14.

I like the Redline product as some can be used with every fillup - the bottle has marks on it for the correct amount to treat 10 gallons of fuel. Some say the Techron should be used on the last tank before an oil change, as there is a possibility of oil dilution, though with 13 qts in 911's this probably is not a big concern. I have occassionally used MMO, as it can be put in the oil (though I don't use it that way) and thus no problem if a little bit gets in the oil.
