Simple question:

Will 16 x 7 Fuchs with 205/55/16 tires fit on the front of my SC? I don't want to have to roll the fender lip.

I'm trying to decide if I should move the 16 x 7's to the front or leave the 16 x 6's in the front. I don't want to have rework the front to fit the wheels.

I'm running that on my 85. The car is at 24.0 up front and the tires will rub while turning up a driveway.

All 7's are 23.3.

Same set-up I have on my SC, lowered to Euro ride height. No rubbing or fender rolling.

I have sevens up front and will only get a little rub on the fender lip turning a tight (like full lock) turn up a driveway. It never rubs any other time.

IT all depends upon the tire you select. You may have to roll the front left fender only. The right will be fine. (The left is a little closer on all 911s). If you need help rolling the fender check back here. Many of us have had to do it.

I have 225/50's on 7 x 16's with stock offset and no issues at all.

I have 16" 7/9 on my SC with 225 on the front and 275 Toyo RA-1's. Had to roll the front fenders to stop the rubbing (but only at the track... and a very slight rub at that).

With 205's on the front, you should have zero problems.

I've got 16x7s on the front of my car running Bridgestones SO3's (205s) and I had to roll the fenders as I got rubbing during trackdays. Chewed up my new (at the time) tires a little but I'm still running them after almost 4 years.

205's should fit fine. 225's may rub. Each car/set up is a little different. In this case, 205 is the factory width (albeit on 6" rims). Going to 7's wont change the ease of fitment.

So I'm moving my 7's up to the front.

I have the option to go with 205's or 225's. Which do you recommend. The car is used for 50% autox and 50% street.

225's, no question about it. Hell, I'd do it even if it were entirely street. You may have to roll one or both fenders a bit, but it's pretty simple and the roll is not, in any way, visible from the exterior. A good roll job is easy to do. Several threads on it.
