Default The Hunt is on!

Well I think i am finally going to come over to the dark side. I turn 25 at the end of the year and I told myself that I would get a 82SC for my 25th birthday. right now I hav my 90 944S2 and I love it. And I want to keep that car as well. But lately my itch for a 911 has been getting stronger. So I am now going to start looking for a 82 SC coupe or Targa. I have driven both(I have never driven an SC but a few 3.2 cars) I really don't know which one I want more. And I hope I can keep my current P-car as well. My budget is going to be between 10-15K. I am in no hurry to buy as I have a year to look for the perfect car preferably Guards Red/Tan, Front and Rear Spoliers(On Coupe) Duck tail(On Targa). So help me guys if you know of any leads let me know.

There was a nice one on Pelican...an 82 Sc...all of the upgrades, I think he wanted $11K OBO, and it was listed for a while.

That car just sold.

Here is a link for a few Porsche classified links.

Wanted to wish you luck on the hunt. I started a hunt just a few weeks ago for a 3.2 Carrera Coupe G50. Looked a few cars and was disapointed in what I saw. Everything that looked promising was a plane trip away.

I stopped by my BMW/MB/VW/Porsche dealer a couple weeks ago just to let them know that I was looking and to let me know if they had any clients that were trading or what.

Never expected anything from them. (small town dealer-not much Porsche traffic) Well last week they got in an '89 Carrera Coupe Silver Anniversary with 13,000+ miles. Long story short...I bought it. Never did I ever think I would have a car so soon let alone one such as the car I bought.

So, just hang in there and let all those who can help know you are looking. Keep checking the classifieds and you will have you car in time.

Thanks David,

I am back to 2 1/2 years ago when I was looking for my first P-car. Let me tell ya I think looking and driving different ones is half the fun. Unfortuantly I am going to have to probably fly out to pick up my new 911 as there is not much Porsche Traffic in this City and state.(I can actully cound the number of P-cars in town on one hand!)

Anyways keep and eye out for me guys

The pictures in the Pelican ad did not do justice.
I would have picked it up if I had the extra cash and space in the garage.
Well, at least my wife let's me park both of my cars in the garage (Targa & Thing) in exchange for me scraping the ice off her car in the morning.

Good luck with the search
