Yea, love this stuff...Monster in her old form 3.3 single was 184 before I ran out of road. Sorry no pic of that. New version, guess I was running on a deserted back road coming out of Chicago and ran this in the C4. New road in the middle of no where. What a sight! This is a certified speedo so I know it was damn close. What a ride this C4 has been. One of my favorites to date...If you look in the tach you can see the seat belt and me

140 mph @ 6900 rpm in 4th, about 10 mins ago on the way back to the office.

BTW, when I shifted to 5th @ 7000 rpm, I could feel the power drop off, so I guess I should have shifted earlier; but, I really couldn't, a little too much traffic up ahead.

Or in the snow.
I did 160 in my 951, in the snow last year.
(stationary, of course)

No dyno pic sorry. Look in the Tach. I am staring straight ahead and my seatbelt is on. Whats the odds of wearing a seat belt in the dyno. Not to mention its AWD. Not to many dynos here is Kansas City, in fact only one and it is 2WD. Sorry its all real.

TP, guaranteed authentic on the pic from PorschePHD. He's one of the guys, Stephen I believe (cool name, BTW ), from Imagine Auto. They are an amazing shop that does lots of turbo work. I believe Stephen and Michael have both been over 200mph.

Okay, in this company it's not very impressive, 120 on the track in a 4 cyl 914, but, I've done 105 with the car on the trailer, blasting through the desert towards Willow Springs. I blew past a BMW and an Alpha on their trailers, felt good to do that.

High,
There is a bunch of different ways to speed,150 is absolutly doable in a 911, my friend was doing 150 in his 85 targa he said when i blew by him like he was standing still and reached 170 mph(91 Carrera 2, not a daily practice however). I have to say 155 w/ the top down is more intresting than 170 w/ it up! And after I do 140(top down) on a two lane road (through a forest), makes me want to commit myself after a Sunday drive. Just stay alive so u can do it again, and keep ur vehicle maintained!! Stay safe people.. Geo.

The answer to how far you've PUSHED the car is not just velocity....the second "most stupid stunt" i ever pulled was taking a 77 Carrera (with race motor) at full throttle through Nascar turn 1 at Pocono .....speed? i was too frightened and busy to look down at the instrument panel.....probably 130-135 range....couple that speed with about 1.0-1.2 G's and you have the makings of some real PUSH... the first "most stupid" thing was doing it again and again, doorhandle-to-doorhandle, with other cars....taking the 930 Turbo out on a secluded spot on Interstate 84 during trooper shift change wasn't much fun.....besides, if you get caught at that speed around here you will spend time in the "do right hotel", need plenty of bail money and a good lawyer if there is such a thing (no offense)

as some have posted here, it ain't just the velocity....the SECOND most stupid trick i've ever pulled was taking a full race 77 3.0 through Nascar turn 1 at Pocono, full throttle...speed? dunno, too frightened and busy to look down....lift even a fraction and you will test whether your cage or "any other cage so conceived and so dedicated will long endure".....the FIRST most stupid trick was doing it again, and again...doorhandle-to-doorhandle....until i remembered some old classroom work, engineer that i am, that there is truth in statistics and that the question isn't When? it's How Bad?.....a 3 month coma wouldn't sit well with my wife at this stage of our lives....in fact she'd be better off if the cage failed utterly....the insurance package is better.....anyway, driving the 930 on a secluded section of interstate 84 at about 165 during trooper shift change wasn't any fun, especially when you consider that if you get caught at that speed you will spend some time in th do-right hotel , need plenty of bail... and a good lawyer , if there is such a thing (no offense)....this post is too long.....be safe

I don't see to many purist calling PHD out to see if the speeds are false. I think people are throwing salt because their tried slug won't go over 150mph.

George, the fact that you have a sbc in your car is not the reason ppl dislike you. You constantly make derrogatory remarks about the cars of the people on this board. Saying we have "tired old slugs" and "then maybe you'll reach the top speed of a Lexus sedan" is just ignorant. I remember you saying that NYC taxi cabs have better engines than Porsches. WTF? It's really sad the way you insult people around here, even though I'm sure most everyone realizes your just trying to get a rise out of them. Try giving someone a compliment some time, you know you like the cars on this board so just say so once in a while.
I think your car is pretty wild tbh.
