Just wondering if anybody has the same problem as I do? I managed to put a miserable 227 miles on my 911 this year. However I spent over $3500.00 on upgrades. i.e. exhaust, chip, head unit & speakers. Does anybody else have the same problem I do. On the upside I still managed to wash it once a week! (Unnecessary of course).

That is a bad $ : driving fun ratio. I advise a NY Resolution to redress this. Life is too short, so participate actively in the things that provide pleasure (in addition to investing in upgrades!). At least you have a good stable to select from. HNY!

Hmmm...may I suggest a healthy dose of track events to cure the problem ..I just got married in August and got an '87 Carrera for my wedding present to me and put 5K on it from mid September to mid November....2 DE's didn't hurt... Good luck next year and HNY!!!

You need to sell a couple of your other cars (the ones NOT built in Germany, hint hint ), that way you'll take the 911 out a bit more. Either way, enjoy the ride.

I saw the GIF of your red coupe and it looks real nice (wheels too). I got my first 911 on December 1st ('87 red coupe) and have about 1,000 miles on it so far. It would seem that any car needs more than 227 miles just to lubricate everything on a more frequent basis. Best wishes.

Thank you all for the posts and words of wisdom, my new years resolution is to certainly travel more miles and attend a few of the Porsche club events. Maybe I'll even sell one of the Rovers!! HA! HA! British engineering!

Hi guys
i think you will find most of your stable is German as Rover was up untill very recently owned by BMW and still retain the rights to range reover and landrover i believe. An all german garage not bad going.

Perhaps you could find someone in your area that could provide a service to you similar to walking your dog. They could come buy once every week or two and take the car out for a healthy hour long drive on some nice roads in your area. If I lived closer I would volunteer to take care of this for you and would do so free of charge to you. That's just the kind of guy I am.
Good luck w/ your problem!

Thanks for the motivation to get out & drive my 911 more often ! It normally logs 3000-5000 a year, as its not my daily driver etc.
Usually by November it is covered up, hibernating for winter. So far, this winter has been fairly dry here in southern Colo.,
I havent had the opportunity to put the 911 away for the season.
I have to take a trip to Santa Fe, NM next weekend, forecast calls for sunny skies, highs of 50 deg. I'm driving the 911 !!!!!
