Default cary parkway, anyone on the parkway?

we're having a unusually warm stretch in the carolinas this week, perfect weather for pulling out the p-car....last night i'm coming home on cary pkwy here in the busy triangle, and i end up behind a white 89 carrera coupe. natch, instead of rolling in my similarly-hued 84 targa, i'm in the daily: a s--tbox honda accord.

so really there was no point in doing the old headlight flash or anything

(if you're a rennlister: hey how ya doing? next time maybe i'll have the right car and we'll take a quick run down weston .....at least until cary's finest swoop down)

I avoid Cary like the plague, I always get lost because every corner has the same strip mall and the roads run in circles ;-)

Tried J. Betski's tonight (new Polish/German place at Seaboard Station).
Spaten Optimator on draught.......... mmmmmmmmmm
Good food, small place.

I worked at RTP when I was fresh out of ECU many years ago ('83). The commute between Cary and the park sucked even back then...I can't imagine it now

The commute is a nightmare! I drive from Cary to UNC (I work there) and take the 'back roads' to avoid traffic and it is still a mess.....road construction with plenty of potholes!!!!!!!!!!
I graduated from ECU (75)......Go Pirates! My son graduated from NC State (:-( and my daughter is a senior at Meredith.

My ride to work is fairly twisty....I turn off of 55 on to O'Kelly Church Rd. and follow it to 751 then turn off onto Stage Coach Rd......of course this is not much fun during morning and afternoon traffic.....but a good ride at other tiimes
Another good run is Green Level Church Rd. It runs from 751 to hwy 55 and High House Rd (Cary)...watch out for deer...even in daylight.
