yes - you will want to replace every rubber bushing in the suspension

- that will keep you busy for a while

If you are pulling the rubber brake lines it is s good time to remove the caliper and repack the wheel bearings if not replace them as the hub needs to be removed to do this.

Default brakes

Usually the last thing any of us DIYers think about is the brake calipers themselves. My 1987 had one front caliper hang up a couple of weeks ago so I took it off to rebuild or replace. Prior to removing, my brakes were what I considered awlsome. Upon disassemly, I was shocked to find it junked up with crud and varnish and almost impossible to disassemble. I have since removed and rebuilt all four calipers and all four were in the same shape as the first. Caliper rebuild kits are about $11 each and worth every penny if it keeps you from having a caliper stick and shuting you down.

How important is it to have a spare relay? Just as important as the spare fan belt?

Congrats on the new purchase. My 911 was acquired about 4 months ago, and I have done a few things to it, including changing all fluids and filters. You just don't know what the PO did before you. I actually found a K&N air filter, but tossed it, along with the K&N fuel filter. I replaced both with stock. I'm trying to keep my car as stock as possible, including the oil. I run Shell Rotella T 15W-40, which is now considered heavy duty truck oil. As long as you are into the preventative maintenance (and you seem to be), you'll be in good shape in the end

Congrats....make sure you are getting full throttle, floor it with the motor not running and take a look at the the throttle linkage in the motor compartment, it should be just about touching the stop...If not, adjust the linkage down by the transmission---usually about 3 to 4 turns moving towards the front of the car is all you should need.
