need infos on a modified 1970
Hi , i'll begin by introducing myself beeing a newbie in the 911 world.
I'm a Porsche fan who began a crazy adventure , 4 years ago of restoring a 1979 928 , finished last july , it was a success , the car looks great and drives perfectly . I must comfess that i could'nt succeed without the 928 forum guys who helped me .
I needed to realize the dream of probably every porsche fan .... a 911.
So i bought a 1970 with a 1986 turbo look body kit , modified carbs and headers , i will begin undoing the car completely for the big job and i would like to know what are those carbs and headers exactly and how many HPs they were suppose to add . (see pix)
By the way , i drove it back home , a 2000 miles ride , what a car , unfortunately i had clutch issues and had to have it towed 100 miles away from destination , anyway i'll have to take out the engine and tranny to change all the gaskets and seals etc . as you can see there are major oil leaks.
Any help appreciated.

Congrats on realizing your dream. To help you find out exactly what motor you have will require the posting of the engine's serial number. You may also want to post the vin so we can tell you if your car was a T, E, or even an S.

A 1970 911T has a 2.2-liter motor that came with carbs and headers. Your headers might be factory ones with the heat exchangers cut off. In any case, stock was 125 hp. So that's probably about what you've got.
Are you planning on taking it back to the pre-1974 long hood look or to keep the update?

Thank's , the vin number is 9111101754 i'll post later for the serial number of the engine , i'll have to find it first .
As far as i know , it is a 911 T , the p.o. told me the heat ducts have been removed to install the headers and double exhaust so it is not stock and i think the carbs are not either, i would have like to know more about them and where to find documentation about that. On the top cover of the air filters is written K&N.
The colour is Viper blue metallic and i like it too , i'm planning to keep the update . I'll do the same job than my 928 but it won't be a restoration since i won't get it back like original 1970 . Turbo look is too cool
I began undoing every part i can , like the shark (928) , to know every corner of the car and to repair everything , including the body .

It's a 1971 911T, according to the VIN.
You can do a long-hood widebody look (see the pictures in my signature), but it would be a shame to change much with that blue paint.

YOu could minimize changes to blue painted parts by putting a regular lid or ducktail on (sell the whale tail), put on the regular F bumper/spoiler. Maybe the fenders. They can all be painted to match and the car would then be worth a lot more as well as having close to the classic look to it. Repeat for R bumper. Put on Fuchs and you're set. Sell all the parts you've taken off and you won't be out too much at all.
It looks like a modified bumper car now rather than the much more expensive long hooded early car that it really is.

Thank you guys for your suggestions and enthusiastic ideas , i took a look at your photos and i love the look of your cars , the long hood and duck tale are cool .
Even if i find your cars awesome i'll stick to the turbo look , first because i love it and second : i live in a far wintery place and we don't see porsches often around here , i will be the only one to have a 911 so ... and third it cost's me an arm everytime i order something because of shipping and custom fees so i prefer to keep it like that and pay a nice paintjob instead (around $6000us car completely undressed)
About the serial number of the engine it's 611735.
I shared a couple of photos of the shark , if ever the 911 forum is not the place just tell me and i'll ask to remove them.
