After experiencing worsening miisng/Stumbling on acceleration I took advice off the forum and replaced the DME relay and solved 90% of the problem- however--
The car ('86 3.2) runs great during warmup but after the first warm start has a stumble between 3300-3800 Rpm and seems to run less smoothly overall
Virtually all my driving lately has been done on open roads at ambient temps < 50deg so the temp guage never gets past the first hash mark.
My thought is that this is temperature related and that the head temperature sensor might be the next thing to check.
Where is this thing, what does it look like and is ther any way to test?
The cylinder head temp sensor is located on cylinder #3 which is located on the driver's side, closest to the driver. If you look in the engine compartment on the left side, you will see a connector holder, holding 3 connectors, one of them is for the cylinder head temp. You can see the sensor from underneath the car.
What is the correct cold reading range of a head temperature sensor? I know I read it was to be somewhere between 1kohm and 2kohm, but mine is reading 3.6 kohm, but it's 45 degrees outside and that may account for the high reading.
