Question Comments on WEVO shifter

Anyone out there using a WEVO shifter upgrade on their 915 tranny? Is this upgrade worth the extra money?

Comments appreciated.

I found the standard 915 fine for street use, but not up to the demands of track use. You simply have to be confident on which gear you are selecting on the track. I've since added the entire WEVO kit to include transmission and engine mounts. Do not use these mounts on a street car unless you are a masochist. Shifts are now precise and predictable.

My car has the OEM short shift kit. I've driven other cars with the WEVO kit and hands down, the WEVO is the way to go.

Got to agree. It's a great replacement for the factory pieces.

Okay, I'll bite...how does the WEVO compare to the Rennshift Performance Shifter? http://www.rennshift.com/

The Wevo is probably the best value of any mod I have done to my car (even at 595). I have modded just about everything and the Wevo stand out.

Cheers

I have one and it's excellant. I also agree with Eric that it's a must for the track.

I think I've overdosed on WEVO products. I have the shift kit, gate shift, transmission and engine mounts, carbon fiber strut tower brace, and camber plates. I guess I should buy the PSJ to round it out, but the transmission shifts fine with everything else that is on there.

Eric - I have all that stuff too (except a different strut brace) - the Race PSJ is a nice piece indeed!

With the WEVO mounts do you need 2 for engine and 2 for transmision?
