... as I now have windshield washers for the first time since owning the 911 (~18 mo.). At this point, to my knowledge, all of the items that were "known issues" or maintenance items, with the exception of the usual trans issues (occasional 1-2 binding & 2-1 grind) have been dealt with.
I'm out of Johnnie Walker Black unfortunately, otherwise I'd celebrate in style.
I'd replaced one of the washer nozzles when I first got her but that wasn't it, and have had the pump kicking around forever. I was convinced it was in the steering column switch, but since I had the pump on the shelf and the family was out at Cub Scouts tonight for their Pack Meeting, I figured what the heck. Sure enough, it was the pump, though I did need to blow the lines out too.
Dumb questions:
1) how the (&^#$(&*!* do you get those stupid rubber pump mounts into the body?
2) why do the outboard (2) nozzles spray the car next to you? I did a great job of hitting the wall...
So to date (from memory):
Radio Antenna
Wheel Bearings
Idle Air Valve
Washer Nozzles
Washer Pump
Steering Wheel Bushing
O2
Head Temp Sensor
Plugs, Valve Adjust, Cap, Rotor, Fuel Filter
Brake Hoses (DOT Braided), flush, & front pads
Rear License Plate Light Housings
Misc. Bulbs & Headlights
DME Relay
Swepco 201
Alternator
Battery
Rear Cab Window Zipper Re-Sewn
Driver's Window Glass track issues
Front Hood Struts
Then the extras:
Autopower Roll Bar
Wheels & Tires
Nakamichi Deck, Infinity Kappas & Clarion SRV303 Sub
Sill Plates
Cone Filter
Cat Bypass
M&K Fully Polished Muffler
HeetSheets
Stainless Door Handles
Wow. No wonder the wife hates the car.

The new nozzles I got from Pelican, so I'm the only one to blame. They look the same as the original ones that were on there, FWIW. I wonder if it's a case of they make them identical and the inboard ones only are supposed to hit, so they don't do a "Left" & "Right"? Who knows.
Bypass: Love it.
O2: Yes, otherwise I'd have just disconnected the original one. I figure let the DME control the system as accurately as possible, and that means an O2 and a new one at that.
I know I still have some major work on the horizon, with the trans rebuild, and likely do an engine reseal / rebuild as well, clutch & flywheel, etc. But for right now, I'm thrilled that the original checklist is done. Most of the items I listed were things that came up along the way, too. It took 20 years to hit 50k, and I put 16k on her in 18 months (I just can't stop driving her!), so I'm ok with having to do the maintenance.

Fred, sounds like you are just getting your car "dialed in"...great list of fixes and improvements. I'm currently working on the Cat Bypass (02 sensor connected) with M&K Muffler upgrade and should be done next week. Also adding a Steve Wong 911 chip for smoother power and performance. Since I had the muffler out, I also installed a new RT cam tower oil line that had a slow drip, and a new engine sound mat. This is too fun, enjoy the ride!

Hey Fred, you have to adjust those nozzles! If they work right, out of the box, go buy a Lottery ticket. Have somebody (that you trust to not get even with you for things past) in the car pulling back the switch on command. Work with some sort of pin/dentist's pick, etc., that will fit into the nozzle holes until you have the spray where you want it. Move a squirter nozzle a couple of times before you start, you'll get the feel of it quickly. Have fun!
