Default Sunvisor Tips

Well, after a few years of not having my sunvisors installed, I decided to installl them again. They are in good shape. They are the old style puffy ones. How do you guys keep them up and out the way? I was thinking of a hardware store clip ar elastic to attach to my targa top frame. My son always complained about the sun in his eyes.

I haven't been on here for few months. Solution to my alternator belt nut was the spanner wrench. The middle allen key hole won't hold enough to remove a tight bolt on our cars.

Thanks,

Ron

I replaced mine w/new (not cheap!) on my 82 SC. The "puffy" look is due to the interior material having disintegrated with age - They were once young & stiff. The puffiness & inability to stay up is just a sign of old age, never was a "style". New ones come w/new brackets which keep 'em both up for an extraordinary length of time. I'll quit now.

Kind of Like visor Viagra? ...

Ulrich gave me a link once of a place that will refurbisc for 74.00 for both. They can not put the vanity mirror back and the sealing around the edge is a little different than OEM. If your not concoursing your car the price is right ...

or should I say " the price is wrong Bob !!!!!! " ...... my all time favorite line.. ( Happy Gilmore )

Yes, they are truly crap. I think that I'll take them back off and search for some cheap generic ones. Thanks guys, Ron

Take a look at www.autosunvisors.com. They won't quite be concours (different seam), but my understanding is that these guys do great work at reasonable prices. Frankly, as long as concours isn't an issue for you, ANYTHING is better than puffy, bloated-looking visors.

Check out the items available at the "911 garage sale" post. There are some sunvisors, not sure if they are coupe or Targa/Cab.
