Default The problem with Porsches...

I recently became a new Porsche owner (In fact I registered the car only 15 mins before this picture). Coming from several experiences with BMWs, I was curious as to what the differences between the marques were...

well, one difference is you get noticed by the police more

What's the story behind the picture- I don't think I'd be in a good mood to take a picture if I had been pulled over....

Nice car by the way!

I'm surprised the cop didn't pose!

They love the whale tails on these cars...they seem to add 10-15 MPH!

Having owned both BMW's and Porsches, I'd say the big difference is that Porsches have souls and BMW's, though sporty, are soul-less.

At least you got a cool picture out of it. I am assuming you didn't get out of the ticket. Motorcycle cops are the worst: they nit pick (license plate), their good at hiding, and they are rarely are in a good mood.

Edit: Nice car.

Default Ticket? Yes.

Did I get a ticket? Yes.

The difference is that these cars attract a whole lot of freaking attention from the Police.

The car is alot of fun, albiet expensive. Its a low-milage leader with 47K original miles and an ex concourse car. Nevertheless, I'm finding that alot still had/has to be done to bring it up to snuff. I took possession of the car, and it was pretty much immaculate, then proceeded to have a full service performed, including a valve adjustment, I had the car lowered down a bit and Bilstein Sports installed, then I had 3 of the 5 guages restored and resealed, the wheels polished and currently the car is at a shop having the door seals replaced. The adventure just keeps going.

Attached are some pictures.

Looks like mine except I have lipstick red interior and 116,000 miles on it. Only thing that has been done to mine was valve guides at 70,990 miles. It is a consistent concours winner....not perfect but still a very nice car for me.

I respectively disagree. Lexus yes, BMW's no way. Especially the M series. I'm partial to the M5 myself.
