Default Fabspeed,Dansk,Monty single-in/single-out

For the single-in/single-out variants of the Fabspeed, Dansk, and Monty products, I'm looking for some feedback on
1) performance (I would imagine they're about the same ?)
2) sound (I know nothing about Dansk or Monty, have heard Fabspeed)
3) build quality/value for the dollar

I lost my link to the Monty seller.

I have to have a catalytic converter for vehicle inspection, but it's a visual inspection, so my cat is now gutted. I cannot go with an SSI arrangement since
it does away with the catalyst in the system. I'm looking to replace my existing stock 1983 911SC single-in/single-out muffler to get nicer but not obnoxious sound, and a 'stock look' and a bit more performance now that my cat is empty.

THANKS

well all it took was talking to Steve at Rennsport to convince me... Monty it is...

I would still appreciate other folks' input.

This sounded pretty impressive, I thought.

i like fabspeed the best. i was going to get their cat back system but opted for the straight pipe set up. if you go to fabspeeds site they have a video of a 3.2 with the cat back. it sound impressive when you give it hard gas and clean up to WOT but peaceful when driving normal. i love the quality nice pipe work, great fit.

Talking to him, coupled with the good things I've read about it in other posts, plus the price compared to the others made it an easy decision.

I do like the sound of the Fabspeed on their website, but I have to have a catalyst (albeit an empty one now, since my local inspection is visual,no longer sniff) so I can't run Fabspeed's cat-bypass 'pre-muffler'. Their price was significantly higher. I haven't seem much about the Dansk in posts.

ah well, so much for the Monty. Importer only has single inlet/single outlet with a 4" outlet (that would not look right to me) or single inlet/dual outlet (I don't want to cut a hole in the valance), so I can't get the Monty. I thought about Fabspeed, but for lower cost, I will instead go with the Dansk which should be closer to stock appearance from everything I've seen. My local shop has had good experience with them.

I'll (as if there aren't already enough 'my muffler sounds better than yours' posts around here) post my impressions when done.

Thanks for the responses.

Have you looked into GHL? Same level of quality as the Fabspeed and I think they sound even better. The following clips are of my 86 with GHL sport cat and single in/out muffler. Most people find them funny for some reason. I just recorded it to hear the sound. The car is completely stock otherwise.

BTW, disregard Fabspeed's video comparing their product to the GHL and B&B mufflers. It is a complete deception. The real GHL muffler looks just like the Fabspeed and matches or exceeds the quality.

Just installed a 1 in 1 out from M&K and love it. about half the price of some of the others. It is a very well made peice and sounds great, not to loud but a good tone.

www.mkexhaust.com is the website. they are also available on Pelican

Coupled with the empty catalytic converter, the car now sounds and feels like it should. It's not as loud as I thought it would be, it sounds 'just right'. The Dansk single-inlet/single-outlet fits perfectly, seems a nice unit. It was the right price, I couldn't find a Monty when I needed it. Car's happy, ready to autoX next weekend. :-)

Not that day. All I could do is perch the camera on my back fence. I guess I should have angled it toward the approach.
