Default Are my wheels fake??

Had my wheels off today. Noticed that there was no part number? No 9 digit number. its a 96 porsche 911 t. Are they knock offs?

is there a general rule of thumb for genuine porsche wheel identification?? I'm not sure how to post pics on this forum, my pics are jpeg files.

Post the pics and someone can probably help you...as far as your car, if it is a 1996 911, it is a 993-bodied car and you can also post to the 993 forum...I don't know if you are trying to say you have a Turbo or Targa, but you may want to specify that as well.

The 96 993TT had 18" wheels. I am not sure if Porsche even made a 17" Turbo Twist.

Let me refrase my horribly worded first post. I own a 65' type 1 vw "bug" And these are the wheels that im currently using. I was under the impression that they were off a 96' 911 turbo through a friend of mine. Im really not concerned with with what particular model porsche their from though......just if their genuine wheels

No, they are not genuine Porsche wheels. They only made 18 inch wheels in that style.

Do you know if they will fit on a Boxer or a 968??

Check out the wheel option under the 993's on tirerack.com. They look like they are the 17 inch Mille Miglia cup 3 rims.
