Or instead, go to www.magnetking.com, order a 12"x24" piece of black medium-thickness magnet for $7.00, and make your own (thanks Joel!).

They work but a bit of a pain to put on and off. That is if you want them perfectly aligned. I also don't use them unless it's a long trip as I'm worried they'll just get stolen if I park anywhere.

I just ordered PROmag magnetic material from harborsales.net and will be making my own. The material comes in different colors (RED, YELLOW, BLACK, BROWN, GREEN, GOLD, ORANGE, SILVER, BLUE, IVORY, WHITE) so you can match it to your car. If you call and ask, they will send you color samples to see how closely the color match is to your car. The red is pretty close to Guards Red. No affiliation to Harbor Sales.

I would think that most people would think they are the factory stuck-on ones...have people stolen them off your car before?

Nope, none stolen yet. But then I have not given anyone the opportunity. The rear fender pieces look stock, sort of, but the front stuff I'm sure would get nabbed. Just not much faith in the masses out there anymore in any given parking lot.

On a positive note, they do stay on at high speed! I've done the requisite test.

Agreed 86--too many a-holes out there to spoil it for the rest of us.
