Best Prices on Parts?
Who has the best prices on 911 parts? Is there a supplier online that has more competive pricing that Pelican? I really like Pelican for their customer service and parts selection but there prices seem to be a bit more. Any ideas?
thanks,

There are a bunch and nearly all sell for less than Pelican. I have used Pelican many times as well. Most parts come from the same OEM parts producers and I have never had an issue with any of them. If you do a search on Yahoo for Porsche Parts, you'll be amazed at the number of vendors on-line. Here are a couple that I have used that have been great to work with and delivered quality parts.

Good luck.

For Porsche parts at discount, Hennessy Porsche in Roswell GA discounts around 25% and Sunset is cost + 15% (which are about the same). Rennlist sponsor Paragon Products in TX has a good selection of Porsche and OEM parts and will match, for example, Performance Parts prices when they have a 20% off sale. Excellent service and advice from Jason at Paragon. Foreign Intrigue in Maine is another to consider.

I always check several sources and I've found that for replacement parts, Eurowebparts (http://www.eurowebparts.com/) consistently has the lowest prices, frequently by a long shot. I've bought tons of stuff from them and never had a problem - lowest prices, fast shipping, correct parts.

I just made my first purchase from these guys.
customer service is 110% and knowledge is equally impressive.

With Performance Products, some of their prices are really high, so you need to be a good shopper. Best time to buy is during one of their several 20% off sales each year. I believe Performance also offers a 10%-15% PCA discount too.

I must agree with Bill about Performance Products. "Most" of their prices are high - in a few instances I've found prices nearly double that of other houses for identical parts. They do however, have a great inventory of parts. I dealt with them only once on the phone, and the rep new nothing about P-Cars. They are "not" a P-car specialist. They have parts for nearly all cars, from Ford F150s to P-cars, and you deal with the same rep for either.
IMO, there are other houses that are much better.

www.advancedporscheparts.com seems competitive as does eurowebparts. Adv Porscheparts has no cost ship > $50. I usually buy from Pelican. Sometimes they are lowest. I've had issues [incorrect info/bad packaging/incomplete shipments] with Vertex and probably won't order from them again.

I just looked at www.performancemotorcars.com. Everything is 'Significantly' lower priced than Pelican, who Ive been using.
Hmmm... no CA sales tax, free shipping... sounds like a potential new dealer.

Heres something weird:
All of these sites use the exact same layout and parts descriptions.... however the prices are changed/different. Are they all just copying each other?

If I had to guess, they probably all use the same parts wholesaler and just tie into their web catalog system (Web Services in I/T speak).
As an example, here in GA we have Parts South right near ATL (which all the local independents use), but you can't order direct from them unless you are incorporated as a business. Of course none of the local parts/service places quote the same price for parts....
Just a guess......
