Default Insurance Question (Sneed Insurance)

Hi,
Has anyone had any dealings with Sneed? I did an online price quote and got $399.00 a year with no mileage limitations. I am wondering how good this company is. If any of you have some words of widsom, please share. I have been using Hagerty. For next summer I would like to use the car and be concerned about the restrictions Hagerty places on you.

I've been using Sneed for past four years, never had a problem.. Did have one claim, they paid without any questions. I'm in New Jersey which has the one of the highest rates in the country, so the saving through Sneed is significant.

Just curious. How much coverage do you get for $399? Liability, collision, etc...
Thanks!

I was going to try Snead last year, but my State Farm agent said if I didn't have all my cars and homeowners policy with them they would cancel or jack the price on my Umbrella policy, so I'm stuck with SF and paying $750/yr on an 81 SC that I only drive 3k miles a yr.

No, nothing new. They are slow though with the renewals, but they always get to you.

My state farm agent told me the same thing regarding umbrella policy. SF agreed that as long as i provide copy of insurance for a Pcar I have with another company to State farm they are OK. Took me a bit of fighting with SF corp and my agent supporting me. has been 5 years now.

Do need to add: insure two homes and 7 other cars with my agent with zero claims in 30+ years so he fought for me as he did not want to lose me as a customer

State Farm is one of the worst rated Ins. Co.s in the US.

Get USAA if you qualify, or Amica. Or... anything except State Farm

I went with Marsh brokers out of Las Vegas about 6 years ago. Was with State Farm then Allstate and finally got tired of the BS. They insure my house with Chubb, liability with Lloyds, current cars with Great Northern, motorcycles, ATV's, car trailers etc with Progressive, and vintage cars with Haggerty.
They saved me thousands of dollars and the experience has been fantastic!!! They have a sort of high wealth broker service. PM me if you're interested in a contact name.

USAA appears to be fairly inexpensive compared to the standard carriers and customer service is great. What's not so great are their valuations - had to jump through a lot of hoops on totalled car (rear-end, not our fault, so props to USAA for taking this up in the first place), but the initial valuation (BMW, not a Porsche) was abysmal.

Based on a VIN I gave them from a 996TT with 30k miles, USAA said $42k value...

Looking at something with a pre-defined value for the future.
