I was just looking at a set of these with the guys at TRE yesterday. 16x7 up front and 8s in the rear. Right now I have 6s and 7s on my 79 SC with the stock real Fuchs. I want to go an inch wider front and rear but I understand that 8-inch rear Fuchs are over a grand. For that same price I can get a full set of these MiniLites in the proper sizes, go to 16-inch rim and have wider array of rubber at my disposal. Also, they come in charcoal center with polished lip which is what I think might look best on the Silver over Black SC I have.

Does anybody have input on these rims or know of a set of 8-inch Fuchs for sale?

Thanks!

b

Thanks Fred!! I had been wanting these wheels for years, when a fellow member here remembered me this spring when his neighbor was selling a set. Got em, had em powdercoated, and the rest is history. These and torq thrust d american racing wheels are my two favorite period correct vintage alloy wheels for these cars. i think they even look cooler than fuchs.

Very popular on British sports cars "back in the day".

I still love the look...although, I had never seen them on a Porsche before.
