Question Blinker cancel broke help ???

Well, I just changed the steering wheel and I now don't have the blinkers cancelling after a turn. The left blinker handle will not stay locked down either. I was told that I needed to swap out the original wheel lower plate, no help. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ron

When you swapped out the piece on to your new wheel, did you put it in the correct spot?? the lever is either 3 oclock or 9oclock.

This thread from Pelican might help. I have a similar problem so I've been searching it out as well:

trelms,

Yes, I marked it and put it at the 3 o'clock position. The one that came with the wheel had been rubbing on something inside. I took it apart today and it looks like the entire bilnker handle assembly may need to be replaced. looking into a part now.

Thanks,

Ron

Marv,

Thanks for nothing. Try joining Rennlist and paying your dues or keep your nose out of my questions. I have a simple question that may have a simple solution.

To the rest of you helpful individuals,

I did place the notch at the 9 o'clock postion, not the 3 o'clock position. That is how it was. May have a broken tab in the blinker assy..

Thanks,

Ron
