I just got my SC in February too. Had the brake pads replace to Performance Friction Street/Track, added Turbo tie rods, full maintenance/tune.
Next up: Carrera Oil Cooler; needs it bad, went to the track on Saturday and it was getting hot.

Yes, on eBay. I went $200 over my "limit," but I've forgotten all about that. They were the best ones I've seen in (4) months so I went for it. I'll do the turbo-tie rods soon as well. But my Porsche fund account is already in the negative...
Got any photos? In fact...why not anybody with a chiffon SC post pics of their car too! I'm interested to see others.

That goes for you classic - throw a photo up here?
The tan is hard to find parts...mostly black out there. Thats why my kneepads, etc. will probably go to black. I think it looks good like that. Also considering RS door panels!!!

You may want to upgrade the front turn/parking lenses to the clear/white type. your 911 will look more stealth. the orange look is out on all cars these days. you can also change the rear tailight/turn signal l;enses to the red/white/clear type. the rears are hard to find, but the look is awesome. you will have the classic 911 look with a touch of modern and new.
i also had to do the rear lenses on my other car a 92 BMW 535i. red and white/clear. orange looks so dated. the orange look was IN several years ago when we swapped the red original taillight lenses with the orange Euro look. the new Euro look is white/clear on all lenses of almost every make of car in 2005. wheels are the most important part of a cosmetic upgrade and 17" 3 piece supercup wheels from Kinesis will do the trick.

I'm not changing anything for "what's in today." No offense to your ideas, but that's not my intention.
Wait..did you just suggest I replace the 16/7x9 Fuchs ????!!

g5o... for your interior you could consider re-dying.... there is a company called Leatherique that many people have used and recommend.... search on "leatherique"...lots of threads. Might be a cost effective approach if you are ambitious...(personally I have not tried this as I am both time challenged and exceedingly lazy)... but if you are planning to replace pieces anyway, what do you have to lose (other than your patience?)

g5o, Our thoughts on these cars are similar. No whale tail, bigger fuchs, I have window tint and want to get rid of it. Wouldn't think of replacing the lights (lenses), guess we'll just have to wait until the orange is 'in' again.
Question for you: what size tires did you end up putting on the front/back, I am assuming 205/245?
I'll post some photos as soon as I get it cleaned up from the track day last Saturday.

Yes, the tires are 245/45 & 205/55. I had 80% tread left on the front, so I kept them and simply remounted. May change to 225/50 when the time comes...will need to think about that.
Look fwd to seeing those pics!
...hey - where did my signature go...can you guys see it??

Driving with a front air damn and no tail or visa versa is not recommended and not safe. The car is aerodynamically unbalanced in this setup. Personally, I like the turbo tail, as on my 84.

"Driving with a front air damn and no tail or visa versa is not recommended and not safe."
- I think you got it wrong. Driving with a front air dam and no tail is OK but not the best. Driving with no tail and a front air dam is not recommended and not safe.
