Default how to dye 911 seats???

I have a 1990 964 and want to improve the tan leather, it is cracked and dirty. I have cleaned and used leather paint, but this hasn't worked well. It still cracks. Has anyone used tan dye?? will the dye rub off when sitting in and out of seat? this is what I have been told. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUDJUSTIONS ON WHAT TO DO !!!??? Thanks Jason

Here's what I did to "improve" my seats. My 85 has blue leather seats with pin-stripe inserts, the leather bolsters being badly scuffed and cracked in places. I actually found a shoe scuff-coat in almost exactly the same shade a the local shoe store. I used this to dab a bit of colour back into the scuffed region as you would fix up a shoe, and the seats came up much better to the point that they look very reasonable. They still have cracks etc but thats part of the charm.

Thanks !
My seats are in good shape, but do have small cracks, minor. I just want to change the color to a more nicer tan than the cream it looks now. I don't want to worry about the dye or paint cracking off or rubbing onto cloths sitting in seats.

I just read the provided Leatherique link. That stuff looks great. Isn't that a good solution to your problem? (The dye that they sell..)

If they really need help, I had great luck w/ a recover. The PO had it done and it looked great. According the receipt, the kit was $400. I don't know what was charged for labor.

i would rather recover and pay extra than have a botched dye job, or worse have it bleed with some sweat on to your clothes, or worse, your wifes or girlfriends.
