Post Heel/toe pedals

I've seen a couple of different versions of these - full pedal sets and gas pedal only - advertised in PANO, and am wondering how effective they are for DE. Thank you in advance for your help.

I use the Wings throttle pedal (wide)on my '87 911 and it makes a huge difference. It is well engineered too! Jim

I also use the Wings pedal. Worked well in the 911SC, and when I bought the C2, there was one small clip that needed to be replaced in order to fit the C2. I also use the wide version. Very easy to put on, and can be taken off in a snap, if needed. Adjustable for height and angle, too.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your replies. Bill, I was especially interested in your experience with your SC. It looks like Wings Engineering it will be - and probably the wide version.

Unless, of course, you care about looks too. In which case you may want to consider the AJ/USA aluminum billet pedals, which are a matched set. There are two versions: street & competition. With the "competition" pedals, the accelerator is curved slightly towards the brake pedal so that heel/toe is also very easy and these pedals look GREAT.

I've considered the wider pedals to help heel-toe too but in my case it seems I need the gas pedal raised to more closely match the height of the brake pedal as opposed to just a wider gas pedal. Ive seen many drivers duct tape a 3/4 -1" piece of wood to add the height - not the best aesthetically but functional for DEs.

I'd rather make a more permanent and good looking functional mod- any suggestions?
TIA,
DAM

realtime - the height of your brake pedal can be easily adjusted. There was a thread on this giving the exact procedure about a month ago.

I'm looking for a heel toe pedal for a '73 RS. I would like a "non-destructive" add on if that's possible.

BH,

Wings is located in Danbury, CT. Telephone is 203-438-2222; fax is 203-431-8792. You must specify year and type car (e.g.,911,C2/4, 993 etc). The standard width pedal is $109; the XW is $115, plus $7 for S&H. Happy heel-toeing!! *G*
