Default 911sc Front Spoiler Needed ???

Anyone have an old 1982 911sc front spoiler laying around the garage collecting dust? I'm Porsche Poor since selling the 928 for too little and buying the 911.

Thanks,

Ron

not that its cheap by any means, but try calling performance products. they've been listing thier chis spoilers for $400+, but when I bought mine they told me it was a printing error and it was less than $300.

good luck.

Just remember not to use a tail without a front air dam or a front air dam without a tail. The car will be aerodynamically upset.

Steve

Okay guys. I'll check in with performance products. I didn't even know that it was missing until someone here mentioned that it was missing and needed to there for areodynamics.

Managed to fit my Turbo Twist wheels with 245/40/18 fronts and 265/35/18 rears! Look great!

Thanks,

Ron

Ron... not to worry, at street speeds, the absent front spoiler is not going to make the car dangerous... do avoid taking fast S bends at 100mph or top speed runs on the highway in the rain.

Ron: Don't forget to order an installation kit - you need metal plates with threaded studs welded on to them. Those plates hold the chin spoiler nice and snug against the valance, if you don't use them the rubber will sag, after a while, between your fasteners.

ron,
To confirm what you need, you can usually find a decent picture of a chin spoiler on ebay. Simply do a search in the parts section. They usually go for about $200 or so, sometimes with the front valence and fog lights even.
I would avoid those funky aftermarket spoilers altogether. Your car looks too clean the way it is to bother with some ill-fitting, squared-off fiberglass spoiler that hangs too low to retain its shape and paint during normal street driving. (the one you linked to actually replaces the entire front valence and would require painting it to match anyway).

Bought the rubber chin valance from the guy that is timing my car now. Looks much more natural than the aftermarket spoilers. We're lowering the car too.

Thanks,

Ron
